Teaching Development

I believe learning is a lifelong journey requiring engagement in reflective practice, my pedagogical practice is something that will continue to grow and change every year. Enabling this requires a commitment to remain open-minded and participate in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) to progress my own learning.

I engaged in training provided by the Digital Learning Design Unit to support our pivot to online teaching. This resulted in the transformation of loop pages for students making them more accessible, interactive and engaging.

With the support of the TEU, I along with my colleagues applied to the National Teaching and Learning Forum for funding to support two projects. One project developed our digital skills and use of eportfolios enabling me to support 30 placement tutors to achieve the same. The second one promoted the development of a blended mentoring module that aims to enhance the quality of student placement experience, we have just completed our first delivery of the module to a cohort of 24 participants.

The National Teaching and Learning Forum provide opportunities for CPD, I have participated in and achieved a digital badge in Universal Design for Learning and working on achieving a second digital badge in the area of Reflective Teaching.
